College Uniform Rules & Regulations

Although unusual for a college, yet sensitive to the diverse socioeconomic backgrounds of our students, the St. Xavier’s College Umoid has a uniform.

The uniform code for boys and girls is as follows:

Boys: White shirt, black trouser, and black shoes and socks. A plain black jacket or sweater with no design or lettering.

Girls: White shirt, black skirt or trouser, and black socks and shoes. A plain black jacket or sweater with no design or lettering.

On Wednesdays, female students will wear the traditional Khasi uniform dress as indicated in the college.

The uniform needs to be treated with dignity and respect. Misuse or abuse of uniform within or outside school hours is a breach of conduct.

The uniform should be tidy, appropriately sized, and worn properly.

Female students need to tie their hair neatly with a red ribbon or black hairbands.

Students are not permitted to have inappropriate hair styles etc. Defaulters will be suspended.
